Disability Family Support Groups
Jennifer David, CEO of Outward Bound Support Services, LLC, has helped to establish a family disability support group in Charlestown, Indiana. As a sibling of a person with a severe disability, Jennifer understands the struggles and isolation that families can face. The group meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month and welcomes parents and family members of individuals with disabilities. Jennifer is also currently working with several organizations in the Hanover area to develop a family support group. For more information, please email jenndavid.obss@gmail.com.
Community Outreach
Jennifer is dedicated to creating an inclusive community where everyone can thrive. She strongly believes in equal opportunities for all, regardless of abilities, and works with other agencies and organizations to provide resources and support services for persons and families living with disabilities throughout the state. Jennifer actively seeks out partnerships to ensure that everyone has access to social and recreational activities and can develop meaningful relationships.
Connections Box
Have you heard about Jennifer's Connections Box in Charlestown? It's an absolute game-changer for the community! With books, games, puzzles, art supplies, and even small food items, it's created for both adults and children. And the best part? Other community members are contributing to the box too! Jennifer's vision of spreading more Connection Boxes throughout the communities she serves is truly exciting and inspiring.
Sensory Activation Vehicle
Jennifer's recent involvement in bringing a sensory vehicle to Jefferson County is a testament to her dedication to the community. Working alongside Laurel Wahl, Mike Sims from Kindness Jefferson County, the Community Foundation of Jefferson County, the Bethany Legacy Foundation, and Outward Bound Support Services, LLC, Jennifer helped to create a valuable resource for individuals with sensory needs. This collaborative effort is a shining example of what can be achieved when people come together for a common cause.
The Kimberly Renee Foundation
The Kimberly Renee Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Jennifer in honor of her sister and mother. Jennifer's personal experience as a sibling of a person with a severe disability inspired her to create a foundation that aims to educate, connect, and inspire people and communities to create a more inclusive environment for persons and families living with disabilities. The foundation's mission is to promote a more inclusive community for everyone.
